Our planet is in big trouble, and we need to act now, or it may be doomsday. The United States has cut climate pollution in 2023, but not fast enough to limit global warming. Under the 2015 international Paris Agreement, the U.S. has pledged to cut U.S. emissions 50 – 52% from their 2005 levels by the end of this decade.

We already see effects scientists predicted, such as the loss of sea ice, melting glaciers and ice sheets, sea level rise, and more intense heat waves. Scientists predict global temperature increases from human-made greenhouse gases will continue. Severe weather damage will also increase and intensify.
